Alphabet Project - Q

Well this is a challenging week for the Alphabet Photo Challenge - Q!!

This is the view from a QUAYSIDE in Falmouth, my home town. When I picture home, this is what comes to mind. Boats moored ready for the next time they get taken out and a Working boat or two heading out, topsail and number identifying the boat. The one you can see above is one of the few boats I recognise - Cousin Jack.

In this stretch of river the water is usually still, reflecting the boats and clouds on it's surface.

The smell is a mix of salt air, seaweed and a hint of pasties, hot from the oven.

The buildings may change but this view will always remain, standing at the end of the quayside.

I'm linking this post to PodCAST's Alphabet Project, please pop over and that a look at the other photos

  1. I almost used a photo from Falmouth quayside for the #AlphabetPhoto challenge. Lovely photo and I think you are very lucky to call Falmouth your home town.
