It's 2 days until I drive to Cornwall for the first time this year.
Back to the home I grew up in, where my Uncle still lives.
Back to spend a night in the home my Father built from an old ruined Barn.
Back to catch up with friends in a pub that holds years of fun memories.
Back to a beach that I will walk along in the future with the children I hope to be blessed with.
Living so far away increases my appreciation of those close to me
My older brother lives in the Midlands, my younger brother has moved from Chile to Italy. Because we don't see each other very often every call, every photo, every meeting is filled with excitement, laughter and love.
"Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close knit family in another city"
George Burns
Hope you have a nice time when you go back. I bet it's nice to see the people and places you haven't seen in so long

Such a great quote - being away and going back does make you appreciate things more. And sometimes, a little distance is good :) Popping over from Wednesday Words.
ReplyDeleteI really like this quote. It's different. Sentimental but with a touch of humour if you pause before saying "in another city". My family are a two hour drive from me. It's nice to go back and visit, but I love where I live. Thankyou for joining in with #WednesdayWords, I hope to see you linking up often. xx
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying our lovely cornish weather this week.
